Teamwork only works well when each member of the team is dedicated in pursuing the agreed goal before the estimated deadline is reached.  The team fails and stumbles if at least one person in the group is lazy or unskilled or unwilling to do his part to achieve the desired result. Individual effort makes or breaks the team synergy.

Often there are discussions on what processes are best to bring out productivity in teams as a whole but not much thought given on how individuals make themselves remarkable first.
